Using DEVICE to switch to another device is not supported. VDA Tools set the device internally, e.g., when printing. If you are on a 24-bit display, but are not using the VDA Tools for real 24 bit applications, then set your display to 8-bit before starting any VDA Tools. Issuing the command

can cause PV-WAVE to crash under these circumstances.However, most devices have extra abilities that are not directly available through this interface. Use DEVICE with the appropriate keywords to control these additional capabilities.
