This is a rotated view of picture 3 to give you a better feel for what the hollow cathode thruster looks like. This image shows the hollow cathode thruster with the shell around it and particle flow. For the simulation the blue shell around the hollow cathode thruster is a barrier for the particles to bounce off of. With the transparency turned on you can plainly see the empty space inside. The red are electrons and the light purple are xenon particles.
