GAMMA Function
Calculates the
gamma function of the input variable.
Usage
result
= GAMMA(
x
)
Input Parameters
x
The expression for which the gamma function will be evaluated.
x
must evaluate to
34.5; otherwise, a floating-point over-flow will result.
Returned Value
result
The gamma function of
x
. The result is floating-point, regardless of the data type for
x
.
Keywords
None.
Discussion
The
gamma function can be used in a variety of applications; one example is to solve nonlinear flow problems, such as the creep of metals.
