Visualization of a Low Cost Composite Shelter in the Virginia Tech CAVE
Background:
In an effort to reduce the world homeless population, The Daedalus Project, Inc. is developing a low-cost composite shelter. This shelter is constructed with injection molded unit panels made from recycled plastics (high density polyethylene, HDPE). The shelters are designed to provide temporary relief to disaster victims, or a permanent shelter to a homeless person.
